Hurricane Ian brought severe winds and heavy rains to the affected areas, causing widespread damage to homes and businesses. Many residents were left without power or access to basic necessities, and debris littered the streets. But besides the statistics, some of the biggest damage Hurricane Ian did is to our hearts. People in our community lost loved ones, photos they can never get back, and emergency funds that were saved for something special. Despite the challenges, the people in our community have come together to support one another in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Local organizations like UNITS of Southwest Florida and municipalities have been working to clear debris, provide assistance to those in need, and begin rebuilding. The outpouring of support from volunteers has been inspiring, and the affected areas are slowly but surely recovering. Truly we are better together.

UNITS’ Role in the Recovery Effort

We have also partnered with local restoration companies to provide storage for their equipment and materials. Additionally, our climate-controlled facilities can protect sensitive items from extreme temperatures and humidity.
