There are a few things you’ll need to take into account before moving your fish tank to its new home. UNITS® Moving and Portable Storage of San Diego can assist you in ensuring that your fish tank arrives in good condition at its new location. Follow these six easy steps.
1. Remove all water from the tank and any decorations. Prevent the spread of germs by wiping down your tank once it has been emptied.
2. Before loading the tank onto the vehicle, make sure it’s completely dry. Also, remove any water or foreign particles from the aquarium.
3. Before moving the tank, remove any equipment from it. Before moving the tank, remove everything from it, such as filters and heaters.
4. To avoid bumps and scratches, cover the tank with a traveling blanket.
5. Keep your aquarium in good working order. Use a traveling blanket instead of towels or rugs to keep the tank sturdy during transport.
6. Once your fish tank is reconnected and ready to be used, fill it with water and inspect for any fractures in the glass. It could be that after the transfer, you realized a few leaks!
