Keep winter clothes in a container or box with a tight seal, as dampness might cause mold and damage. Mold and damage are avoided when items are kept in sealed bags with tightly shut lids, which block water and other dampness from entering while they’re stored.
To save room in your closet, reduce the amount of space your clothing takes up! Vacuum bags are a great way to do this. Bags can help keep outdoor winter clothes as flat as possible by keeping them compressed.
It is a good idea to keep everything in its own container, both inside and outside. Labeling the containers will assist you in determining their contents. If you buy separate boxes for each family member, remember that they will take up more room in your storage container.
