1. Make it easy on yourself and buy boxes

2. Plan your first week in your new town

4. Spend a week settling in before starting work

If you know when you need to start work, plan to move early so that your move-in period can be focused just on moving in and getting comfortable in your new home. There’s a good chance you may not be able to find your favorite work outfit for the first few days anyway!

5. Schedule your internet setup appointment before you move

If your support network is in another town, you’re going to need internet access as soon as you arrive to connect with those who are far away through social media, Skype, etc. It will also help you find local stores, restaurants, and entertainment.
